Meet Jason in Session #201 – “The Political Landscape of Being Asian American Today” Friday, Aug. 12, 10:50 AM – 12:00 Noon

Jason Chung currently serves as National Director – Asian Pacific American Initiatives and as APA Communications Director at the Republican National Committee (RNC). He serves as a primary AAPI political and communications strategist for the Republican Party. Prior to his position at the RNC, he served as a consultant to The Livingston Group, LLC a Washington, DC based government relations and public affairs firm, while concurrently serving as Managing Partner of GWC LLC, a Virginia based consulting company. Jason has served as a Congressional Liaison in US Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Prior to CBP, he worked for then- Maryland Governor Robert L. Ehrlich as the Executive Director of the Governor’s Office on Asian American and Pacific Islander Affairs. He also served on the staff of then-Congressmen Thomas M. Davis, III of Virginia and Christopher Shays of Connecticut. In 2014, Jason was appointed to serve on the Virginia Asian Advisory Board by Governor Bob McDonnell. He serves on the Board of Celebrate Fairfax (County Fair), Inc. and was a past Commissioner on the Fairfax County Consumer Protection Commission. Jason has assisted many candidates seeking elective office on the local, state and federal levels throughout the United States. Originally from New York, he is a graduate of Trinity College in Connecticut and lives with his wife and two children in Fairfax County.
