Session #401: “The Importance of the Virtual You” – Ensuring your digital presence does not hinder your employability

Have you ever searched yourself to see what is on the digital web about yourself? If you’re applying for a job, you should automatically expect that the employer is going to be doing a web search about you. And what if they find something on social media that’s not flattering about you? You might get passed over for that perfect job because you were not cognizant of your virtual presence. Another consideration: having a professional headshot on sites such as LInkedIn could give you a boost over the competition. These panelists will discuss how maintaining the best “virtual you” is instrumental in your employability.
