Recruitment Expo, Aug. 6-8, 2015 at the Hilton Anatole Hotel, Dallas, Texas.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\nThe selected students will receive an <strong>All-Inclusive Convention Registration<\/strong> plus a <strong>3-night hotel stay <\/strong>at the Hilton Anatole Dallas (based on same-gender double occupancy).\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n<hr \/>\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n<strong><u>Program Rules and Procedures<\/u><\/strong>\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Applicants for this student scholarship must be <strong>enrolled full-time<\/strong> in an accredited <strong>four-year undergraduate or graduate institution<\/strong> in the U.S. or Canada at the time of application and award. \u00a0Please be advised that this scholarship is for<strong>currently enrolled<\/strong> college\/university students who have <strong>completed at least one semester<\/strong>.\u00a0 Applicants <u>must be able to attend the convention<\/u> in Dallas, Texas, and must be able to be physically present at the convention in its entirety on<strong>August 7<sup>th<\/sup> and 8<sup>th<\/sup><\/strong>.\u00a0 Note that this scholarship pays for <strong>full convention access<\/strong>, which includes <strong>meals<\/strong> for the days of the convention, plus <strong>hotel<\/strong> stay at the convention hotel (based on same-gender double occupancy).\u00a0 The student is responsible for the cost of travel to the convention.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li><strong><u>Deadline<\/u><\/strong> for submission\/application: Sunday, July 19<sup>th<\/sup>, 2015 midnight, 11:59 PM U.S. Eastern Standard Time<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li><strong><u>Who is eligible?<\/u><\/strong> Students of <strong>Asian and\/or Pacific Islander<\/strong> heritage who are <strong>enrolled full-time<\/strong> in an accredited <strong>four-year undergraduate or graduate institution<\/strong> in the U.S. or Canada at the time of application and award.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>To submit your interest, please send an email to <a href=\"mailto:scholarships@naaap.org\" target=\"_blank\">scholarships@naaap.org<\/a>\u00a0containing the following information:<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<ol>\r\n\t<li>Full <strong>name<\/strong><\/li>\r\n\t<li><strong>City<\/strong>, State and Country you are currently located in<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Contact information: <strong>email<\/strong> and <strong>phone<\/strong><\/li>\r\n\t<li><strong>Name of college or university<\/strong> that you are enrolled as a full-time student.\u00a0 Attach <strong>evidence of this enrollment<\/strong>(e.g. class enrollment confirmation, or an enrollment statement from the University Registrar, or any official college or university document that shows that you are currently enrolled)<\/li>\r\n\t<li>The <strong>major<\/strong> you have declared (if any)<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Anticipated <strong>graduation<\/strong> month\/year.<\/li>\r\n\t<li>State your <strong>Asian and\/or Pacific Islander<\/strong> heritage<\/li>\r\n\t<li><strong>Confirm<\/strong> that if selected, you can attend the NAAAP National Convention in Dallas on August 7<sup>th<\/sup> and 8<sup>th <\/sup><em>(in your email, simply state a \u201cYES\u201d beside this statement)<\/em><\/li>\r\n\t<li><strong>Confirm<\/strong> that if selected and notified by NAAAP, you can and will respond within 48 hours to indicate if you will accept this scholarship, and also provide evidence of your travel arrangements to attend the convention <em>(in your email, simply state a \u201cYES\u201d beside this statement)<\/em><\/li>\r\n\t<li>Write and submit (or include in the body of the e-mail) a brief essay (max 300 words) in response to this question: \u00a0\u00a0<strong>What have you done to demonstrate that you are BOLD, a DREAMER, an INNOVATOR and a PROBLEM SOLVER?<\/strong> Note that The Home Depot website <a href=\"http:\/\/www.careers.homedepot.com\/next\">www.careers.homedepot.com\/next<\/a> speaks to these as qualities they are seeking in employment candidates.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>When the selected students are notified (on or before July 22, 2015) the student must respond within 48 hours to acknowledge their acceptance of the scholarship, and provide evidence that travel arrangements have been made to attend the convention.\u00a0 Otherwise, the scholarship may be reassigned to another student who can attend.<\/li>\r\n\t<li>E-mail your submission to <a href=\"mailto:scholarships@naaap.org\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"clickable ClickableEmail inactive\">scholarships@naaap.org<\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<u>no later than <strong>July 19<sup>th<\/sup><\/strong>, 2015 midnight<\/u> (12:00 PM U.S. Eastern Standard Time).\u00a0 Selected students will be notified no later than July 22<sup>nd<\/sup>.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Home Depot &#8220;Tools for Success&#8221;\u00a0Student Scholarship to attend the 2015 NAAAP National Convention, ERG Summit &amp;
