Human Factors: How to Bring Out the Best in People

The success or failure of any organization is not dependent on strategy, objectives, processes or assets but on people and their behaviors.  Human factors are the underlying elements of human behavior that impact organizational and team performance.  They are your personal values, personality styles, culture, diversity, experiences, and personal emotions that “power” one’s behaviors and relationships with other people.  Human factors apply to the most challenging issues facing organizational leaders today, such as motivating a diverse workforce, resolving interpersonal conflicts, creating informal power and leadership.  This presentation will present seven ways in which we can use human factors to build your interpersonal skills and to bring out the best in people.  This “can’t miss” presentation is a great fit for career professionals who want to strengthen their leadership skills and working relationships and is especially vital for current and future managers who lead and manage teams.  Understanding human factors is the essence of leadership and personal success.

Express Your Confidence

Ambition combined with initiative inspires confidence. Many women and men aspire to have the comprehensive package of career success along with sophistication in style. Self-help books present generalized concepts, yet individualized or "bespoke" solutions are becoming much more in demand. In the Journal of Fashion Marketing and Management (year 2002: Volume 6: Issue: 3 Pages: 240-258) the study indicated consumers are interested in higher levels of self-awareness and want "made to measure" lifestyle which leads to the development of mass customization of apparel.  While mass customization responds to the individualized apparel need, there is still the need to address the another emerging trend: personal brand.

Monique Zhang is presenting in-depth solution that addresses both needs in her seminar. Audience will learn how to develop a complete personal brand package that will lead to career success and overall enhancement of personal confidence.

The Sun Rises in the East...Just Over the Horizon: Creating Member Value Through Innovative Association Governance and Management Concepts

For 28 years NAAAP has enlightened members, organizations, and others as to the value of leadership and diversity from Asian-American perspectives.  Join speakers from the Project Management Institute (PMI) for a view of what may be “just over the horizon” as NAAAP grows as an international not-for-profit business professional association.  They will share what PMI is doing to create and deliver measurable value, and why.  You will also hear how, when, and where experienced “Chapter” leaders are applying business decision sciences and other good practice to run their local not-for-profit business association chapters with the same rigor as our “for profit” counterparts.
